Over Speed Alerts occur when you go over a certain speed threshold depending on the setting in the Drive Smarter app.

The Over Speed Limit alert in the App Settings affects the app only. To turn off Over Speed Limit Alerts completely, please turn it off in the Devie Settings Menu as well.
The Over Speed Limit setting will sound an alert when you meet or exceed the speed limit of the road (if known), plus any extra amount over the speed limit you may want. For example, if you set it to 5 Over, and the speed limit is 45, you will not be alerted until you are travelling at least 50. The alert will sound continuously until you reduce your speed to under 50.
Adjust the Setting
To adjust the Over Speed Limit Alert feature:
- Open the three-line menu at the upper left
- Tap on App Settings
- Tap on Over Speed Limit Alert setting
- By default, this setting is off
If you are still experiencing alerts when this menu item is toggled Off, go into your Device settings and check for the Over Speed Limit Alert (Radar Detectors and Cameras) or the Over Speed Alert (Radar Detectors only) and make sure that they are off or set to your preference.
