Cobra Performa Radios

Cobra Performa radios are licensed radios, meaning that you must have an FRN (FCC Registration Number) before using the radios. You will be assigned frequencies at the time of license. Cobra TrailBlazer Radios

You should have your FCC GMRS License and callsign before using your TrailBlazer GMRS radios. For assistance with licensing, please see our guide: TrailBlazer GMRS FCC Licensing 


Incompatible Radios

All other radios are incompatible with the Cobra Programming Cable and the Cobra Programming Software, and cannot be programmed by end users.


For Marine Radio reprograming in North America, please contact an Authorized Marine Dealer in your area.


For Marine Radio reprogramming internationally, please contact our nearest Marine Distributor: International Distributors

Note that not all international distributors are able to handle Marine Radio, please consult the list to see who is capable.

Cable Requirements


The Cobra Radio Programming Cable (USB-C to USB-A) is needed to physically connect to the radio to the computer.

  • Performa LMR radios only require programming the first radio, then if you so choose you can use the instructions in the Performa Manual to clone the settings to all other radios over the air (OTA).
  • TrailBlazer GMRS radios must be connected by wire per radio for programming.

Downloads

The Cobra Programming Software downloads available here are only for the Performa LMR and the TrailBlazer GMRS radios. No other Cobra radio is compatible.
