As of Sunday, the 31st of August 2025 at 11:59:59 PM, Escort LIVE has been permanently discontinued, and your detector will no longer have access to the Drive Smarter services via the Escort LIVE app.

What does this mean?

As of Sunday, the 31st of August 2025 at 11:59:59 PM you will no longer have access to the following:

  • Community Alerts
    • Community alerts are various alert markers set by other users showing the locations of road hazards, stationary or moving police as they're spotted, etc.
  • Community Radar
    • Community radar is alerts tagged by the radar detectors of other users, showing where their radars recently generated an alert for radar alerts, laser alerts, and certain radar guns and radar cameras.
  • Defender Alerts
    • Defender alerts are from our database of known threats, such as red-light cameras, speed cameras, and similar.
  • Configuration
    • You will no longer be able to use the Escort LIVE app to change the settings in your radar detector.

How can I continue to receive Community Alerts, Community Radar, and Defender Alerts?

If you have a compatible device, we recommend that you uninstall Escort LIVE and install Drive Smarter. You can find information on how to connect a compatible device to Drive Smarter with our configuration guide.

1) Check your Max 360 serial number before upgrading or trying to convert to Drive Smarter.

- If your serial number starts with a 79, your detector is incompatible with Drive Smarter and needs to be upgraded.
- If your serial number starts with an 85, your detector is compatible with Drive Smarter and does not need to be upgraded.

If the label on your Max 360 is worn off, covered, damaged, missing, or you want to be absolutely certain of compatibility, you can check your serial number directly on the detector's display.

Start with the detector powered on as usual, then unplug the power cable. Press and hold the MRK and MUTE buttons together while plugging the cable back in, and keep the buttons held through the boot logo. The display should show your current firmware version and your serial number. Tap MUTE when you are done to return to normal functionality.
2) This model was able to connect through a special Bluetooth-enabled cable, which is incompatible with Drive Smarter and no longer manufactured.
