How to Clone Radio to Radio
- To use the OTA feature, first program one radio with our Cobra Programming Software and proprietary Cobra Programming Cable.
- NOTE Ensure that your radios are all charged before proceeding with this operation.
- Caution Do not power down any radio during the cloning process. If the process fails for any reason, you may need to program the radio directly using the Cobra Programming Cable and the Cobra Programming Software.
- To program using Over-the-Air (OTA) cloning, please follow the steps below:
- Hold down the CALL button located on the side of the radio while turning the radio on via the VOL/PWR knob. Do not release the CALL button until the green LED begins to flash.
- Your radio is now ready to begin transmitting its settings to other radios.
- NOTE You must turn on the primary radio first, before turning on other radios.
- For every radio you wish to clone, use the same procedure of holding the call button while turning them on. Again, do not release the CALL button until the green LED begins to flash.
- On the primary radio, press the PTT button for 1-2 seconds to initiate the settings transfer.
- One the primary radio, the green light will turn red and begin blinking rapidly.
- Once the transfer is complete, the green light will turn solid, and all radios will announce that the clone process has completed.
- The cloned radios should return to normal function and switch to Channel 1 or the lowest channel in your channel map.
- To return the primary radio to regular use, press the ESC key.
