To mount the M2 dash camera with your radar detector, you will need to disassemble the detectors standard mount, then reconfigure it using the M2 mount kit parts.  You will replace the existing mount's carriage bolt with the M2 mount kit's longer bolt. You will add the M2 mounting arm between the carriage bolt and thumb screw on the mount itself. Then, attach the camera to the opposite side of the mounting arm. Power is connected to the M2 camera and then fed to the radar detector via the small jumper cable from the M2 into the detector power port.
