Our inverters do not have a bonding strap between the “neutral” and “ground” pins on the AC outlet, and supply current directly to the “Hot” and “Neutral” terminals.  The “ground” pin is part of a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt) circuit design.

Intentionally installing a strap between the “neutral” and “ground” outlet contacts will result in a short circuit of the inverter’s internal DC-DC converter circuit.

Our inverters are not designed for use where the load has a bond wire from neutral to ground, as may be the case if attempting to power an off-grid building, for example, rather they are designed for direct connection to 120VAC appliances.
