A radio repeater is basically a receiver tuned to one specific frequency and the receiver audio is routed to a transmitter tuned to a different frequency.  Anything heard on the receiver is sent to the transmitter (repeated).  The advantage of a repeater is that it can greatly extend the coverage of a mobile or hand held two-way radio.  Typically, the repeater system is located on high ground or it's antenna system installed on a tall antenna tower.  The higher the antenna the better the repeater performance.

For a radio to be compatible with a repeater system it must be capable of receiving and transmitting on two different frequencies.  All of our radio products receiver and transmit on only one frequency.  For this reason, none of our radio products are capable of using a repeater system.
